Kikki K Time Planner: Cute - Review

Hey there!

I've always been someone who got overly excited over stationary. I compulsively overbuy. Even with items like sticky-notes. They take FOREVER to finish, and I have backups for backups. It's ridiculous. But I digress.

This year, I decided to eschew from purchasing a pricey leather Kikki K week at a glance diary like I usually do, and instead, purchased a Kikki K planner (Did I mention they're the same price?).

Isn't it marvellous? I have only one major problem with it, and it's this: It's a little embarrassing to take out in the middle of university. It's a problem I didn't foresee. I have no problem flashing this about in public.. but there's just something about being in close quarters with snobby intellectuals and hipsters that makes me cringe when I have to get this baby out. But: external appearance aside, I love it!

The 'Cute time planner' has the same paper size as a filofax personal which is kind of perfect, as it means I can buy or print off filofax refills. It also comes with incredibly cute dividers, which I just adore (I'm going to take them with me when I eventually transfer over to a filofax).

As you can see, the cover has several pockets, and I use them to keep stickers, post-it notes and my university timetable. Since the planner is made from canvas, the pockets are really flexible and can hold quite a bit. Also, since the planner stays closed using an elastic, if you want, the planner can hold quite a lot of extra paper.

I feel that this planner is perfect for university students, as there isn't a huge amount of space for each day, but it is definitely enough to write down appointments, deadlines for uni and work shifts. Also, on the monthly view, there is a margin on the side to write down notes, and I find it's perfect to record the university weeks and holidays, just to make sure I'm always 100% sure which week I'm in.

The paper is also thick enough to use highlighter, which is perfect, as there is nothing worse than colour bleeding onto the other side of a page. (Please tell me that's not just me. I literally cannot stand it.)

I do however have a few criticisms of the planner, such as some of the tabs and paper provided. The planner comes with 'shops and restaurants' and expenses, which I really don't use. It also has an address section which smart phones have made largely obsolete (unless your phone runs out of battery of course!).

Aside from this minor criticisms, I am super happy with the Time Planner and I'm so glad I bought it this year. I hope this was informative and not too rambly.

Have a lovely day chums,

Toodles!
