Cambridge Satchel 15"

So I did a bad thing.. I bought another bag!
Once again, it's a structured satchel, this time I got it from the Cambridge Satchel Company and it is b-e-a-utiful! I really am so pleased with the quality and size of the bag. It's a 15" in the colour Vintage and it has my initials embossed on the front. I ordered the bag exactly a week ago, and it arrived yesterday, so I am incredibly impressed! The company suggested a manufacturing time of two weeks, even before it was shipped, so you can imagine my surprise when the bag arrived on my doorstep yesterday! It cost me £114 + shipping which equated to roughly $204, which is a little pricey, but I think this bag will last a really really long time. So I've kind of justified it to myself.

Unfortunately in the photo above, I forgot to do the straps up properly. I took it to uni today, and this is how i usually have the straps. I find it too cumbersome to do the straps up completely, however, like this, it's secure enough that I don't have to worry about anything falling out if it accidentally tips over when I put it down.

The leather is really structured and incredibly smooth, I really adore the shiny finish it has on the outside. I'm thinking of getting a really slim case for the laptop and trying to ease it into the bag slowly. Unfortunately, at the present time, my macbook pro 13" doesn't fit inside it nicely. But I believe overtime, the leather will on the sides will stretch enough to accommodation the laptop perfectly. In the picture below, I have all the items I take the uni on a daily basis. I have two lined notebooks for lectures, and two folders, which are hidden between the notebooks - they hold the handouts and articles I'm required to read for class. I also have my planner/agenda, reading book, small makeup bag and pencil case. These items fit really snuggly inside the bag, and aside from a water bottle (which I like to hold, because I'm paranoid about leakages) it's everything I bring. In the small pocket in the front I have my mimco wallet, and my keys and ipod hidden underneath it.

I watched so many reviews of the bag before buying, and I'm really glad I did my research because initially I wanted to buy the 14", but after watching a dozen or more videos, it became apparent that an A4 piece of paper would fit in it, notebooks and sleeves for looseleaf paper wouldn't. So even though there's 0 chance that anyone on youtube is reading this, I'd like to thank you anyway, for helping me decide on what size bag to get. It really helped me out and my bag is PERFECT. (:

I really don't think I can stress enough how much I love my new satchel. It's just the perfect bag for someone like me, how wants a structured bag for uni, but doesn't enjoy lugging around half their bedroom all the time. I really don't keep that much makeup or "emergency" items in my bag, and so, the space inside the Cambridge Satchel is just perfect. So perfect in fact, I'm thinking of getting an 11" in an ostentatious colour at some point in the future to use as an everyday handbag or clutch. I'm thinking yellow..what do you guys think?

Toodles!
